| Statement: |
I have been inspired by the rural landscape, the rich sense of earth with its raw connection to life, its beginnings and endings, the repetition of sidewalks and the repetitive cycles of nature and man, the hard man made quality of concrete, geometric patterns of life above the earth. I am inspired by the continuity of nature and its transient beauty, the man made patterns and shapes carved into the earth to give life and to receive it.
My imagery, shapes, patterns and layouts have been borrowed from urban and rural life and have united in my artwork, expressing the subtle changes and dualities along life’s journey. |
