Statement:
My work is concerned with movement, gesture and interaction in an attempt to capture a moment in time. The Figures are conceived as visual metaphors, depicting a state of mind that is playful and unselfconscious. A moment in which the “other self” unfolds and expands. The figures are modelled in paper clay which provides them with their characteristic surface. The bath suites are made from lace specially treated to preserve its appearance in the firing.
