Venues that have hosted Irish Contemporary Ceramics shows include The Limerick City Gallery, The City Arts Centre Dublin, The Model Arts and Niland Gallery Sligo, The Ulster Museum, The National Crafts Gallery Kilkenny and The Gracefield Arts Centre Dumfries. New venues for the current tour are The National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks and The South Tipperary County Museum.
Members are drawn from ceramists working in Ireland, Irish ceramists working abroad and graduates of Irish art college ceramics courses. As a result the group is strengthened by a mix of international and home based practitioners.
To qualify for membership at least three of nine points on a criteria list must be satisfied and six images of current work must be submitted along with a fee of €20.
Members are then eligible to submit for the exhibitions which are independently curated and take place approximately once every five years. |
